The Great Plains Zoo is thrilled to have added several new rental locations. These locations are suited for any occasion, whether it’s formal, business, casual, family or kid friendly, we can do it all. The Zoo and Museum is a great change in scenery and is fun and relaxing for all ages. With the option to combine your rental with Animal Encounters, a entertaining Children’s Zoo, Savannah Express Train and Endangered Species Carrousel rides, your event will be one your guests will be talking about well after it’s over.

Located just out past the Zoo’s African Savannah, our largest rental location is Savannah Park. This location can hold up to 5,000 of your guests and is a great setting for large corporate functions, concerts, festivals and more!

Our centrally located Wallaby Pavilion is located in the heart of the Zoo and is surrounded by exhibits such as alligators, emu, alpaca, primates and wallabies. The centralized location of this area and small covered pavilion make it perfect for any occasion with up to 600 people.

Other smaller locations include Memorial Garden which is a more romantic wooded area suited well for weddings, Shoreline, which borders the river, is found directly south of Memorial Garden and can be combined with the Garden to increase capacity, or stand-alone as a wide open space configurable for many different events. Both locations separately can accommodate around 200 to 300 guests.

The room is typically set with 5 foot round tables. The tables can seat 8 all the way around for a banquet setting and 5 for the meeting style gathering. Multiple drop-down screens make it easy for all guests to see, no matter which direction they are facing. Head tables are placed on risers to make it easier for the guests to see the guests of honor. The dance floor can be moved to any place in the room.
